News from around the world.

From the first days of lent until Easter Sunday in 2025, over 170 Nigerian Christians were murdered during various attacks across two states in Nigeria. These attacks highlight a rising trend of violent religious persecution throughout the Middle Belt region of the country. Occurring near Christian days of observance, the attacks by Fulani militants and Islamic extremists appear to be aimed at intimidating and dispersing Nigeria's Christian minority. According to local reports, over 100 Christians in the state of Plateau were murdered, and their villages were raided and destroyed by Fulani militants on Palm Sunday, April 13, 2025.
